Links for Saturday, 27 April
Okay, this past week we were in Barcelona, which was (of course) pretty fantastic. First time for Lisa, nth time for me, where n=something that happened several times when I was in college. That was a while ago. Details, naturally enough, are over at the RP site.
First up for this week, a couple of slideshows of creepy, abandoned places. If you click on the pictures you advance left and right through that place’s photos. If you click on the blue Next at the top right of the slides, it takes you to the next place entirely. There are a lot of images here.
Over at The Atlantic, a quick cross-section of various legally-minded individuals on some of the most important Supreme Court cases you’ve never heard of – dating back to the 1800s. Good stuff, and quick.
Something we’re doing this Sunday is a tour of part of the local neighborhood, led by the folks who run Strollology – and lo and behold, this is their site. Nice Berlin stuff.
And I could kick myself for this now, because how often do you know someone who’s building a new house, and I did, but hey, secret passages behind bookshelves. She probably can’t put one of these in now. RATS!
Lastly, some really beautiful, vintage-style posters of the solar system. The link to Hey, Oscar Wilde! showcases the various heavenly bodies, whereas if you click on the picture of Saturn, it’ll take you over to the Etsy store of the folks who made this images, Indelible Ink Workshop.
